Payroll Giving Explained: Everything employers need to know >>
StC Payroll Giving:
Three Decades of Impact
For more than 30 years, StC Payroll Giving has been at the heart of workplace giving in the UK.
From the earliest days of Payroll Giving, we recognised its potential to transform charitable giving and have been shaping its growth ever since.
“From day one, we set out to do more than acquire donations. We wanted to build a culture of generosity in the workplace.”
Alice Wright
Managing Director, StC Payroll Giving
Our Origins
StC was founded with a simple mission:
To make Payroll Giving accessible, ethical, and impactful.
From shop floors to head offices, we’ve worked with employers of every size and sector, helping employees connect with the causes that matter most to them.
Trusted by Employers,
Valued by Charities
Established in 1994, we’ve become one of the most respected names in the sector, known for integrity and results.
We are proud to be certified to ISO 27001:2013 for data security, and holders of the Diamond Quality Mark for our own Payroll Giving efforts.
We are one of the founding members of the APGO (The Association of Payroll Giving Organisations).
And together with our sister company GoodPAYE, we are equally proud to be the first B Corp–certified provider of Payroll Giving in the UK, as this reflects our long-standing commitment to people, purpose and planet.
At StC, charities are at the heart of what we do.
At Macmillan Cancer Support, we’re so grateful to StC Payroll Giving for their many years of support.
Their team makes recruiting Payroll Giving donors simple, professional and impactful — helping us receive vital, regular donations from generous employees across the UK.
These contributions enable us to be there for people living with cancer when they need us most.
It’s a pleasure working with such a dedicated and professional team who truly care about making a difference.
Ollie Lashbrook, Macmillan Cancer Support.
Barnardo’s has a long-established Payroll Giving programme in which STC have played a key role in growing. Having previously been one of STC’s promoted charities and, more recently, one of STC’s charity co-owners, we are proud to have worked with them for over 30 years and are grateful for all they have done for us.
STC are experts in their field providing their charities and business partners with excellent account management, in-depth sector knowledge and a true commitment to growing Payroll Giving awareness and income for their charities and the wider charitable sector.
The money raised for us by STC provides a vital and regular source of income, critical in helping to support children and young people across the UK. The thousands raised by STC for us over the years has allowed us to be there for many at risk and neglected children.
STC has an impressive list of corporate partners, testimony to their reputation within the business world as a leading Payroll Giving provider. Their fundraisers’ knowledge of Payroll Giving and charitable causes makes them an ideal provider for organisations looking to drive values-based and charitable-focussed employee engagement.
Great people and a great team.

Cancer Research UK has proudly partnered with StC Payroll Giving for over 20 years to grow our community of Payroll Giving supporters. This long-standing collaboration has helped us reach employees in workplaces we wouldn’t otherwise be able to access—bringing in vital, regular donations that allow us to plan for the future and fund life-saving research.
StC Payroll Giving has consistently been a proactive and collaborative partner, helping us connect with generous individuals who want to make a difference through their pay. Their support has been instrumental in expanding our reach.

A New Chapter

Together, we combine our 30 years of heritage with innovation that makes giving easier, more engaging and more powerful than ever.
“We’re exceptionally proud of where we’ve come from, with a renowned reputation built as StC. But we’re even more excited about the future we’re building with GoodPAYE. Together, we’re creating something even more impactful for Payroll Giving.”
Alice Wright

Looking Forward
The future of Payroll Giving is about connection: between businesses and their people, employees and charities, and workplaces and their communities.
